WHAT IS A “STREET TEAM?”

A street team is a special group that is composed up of people who are excited about a musician, artist, or author, and are enthusiastic about spreading the word. On average, approximately 2,700 new books every single day! With so many books entering the stores, how do people find books they really want to read?

Word of mouth. And that's where The Guild comes into play.

WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO DO IN THE GUILD?

The main “responsibility” of those in The Guild is to help spread the word about my books. Here are some ways this can happen…

In-Person:

• Help spread the word by telling people you know about the books, like sharing them with your friends and family 

• Buy the books during the first week of release – this helps get books on bestseller lists

• Ask your local library to order my books, give the librarians the title, name, and link

• Leave promo materials at local book stores, cafés, or libraries – always ask for permission first!
   

Online:

• Make sure you've subscribed to my Mailing list

• Follow and support me on social media - like, share, comment 

• Make your own posts on social media

• Join in any of my big social pushes for releases or announcements

• Feature interviews, reviews, excerpts or anything else on your blog, website, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, etc…

• Support any online appearances I do, Live chats, interviews or blog tours

• Consider supporting me by 'buying me a coffee' or joining my Patreon

• Review the books as soon as possible at online retailers with your (honest) thoughts

But no matter what, the group is designed to be a fun place to connect with fellow Guild readers and share the love! There’s not an obligatory amount you have to do as a Guilder. Support where you can and look out for one another.

WHAT DO I GET FOR BEING IN A THE GUILD?

I know supporting me on all the different social media platforms is asking a lot. So, along with my gratitude, you’ll have a few other exclusive perks! As my writing business grows more will be added, but for now Street Team members of The Guild can expect:

• Acceptance into an exclusive Facebook group to share your thoughts, and engage with other fans

• Exclusive discounts

• New release giveaways for special swag to give away or keep to yourself

• The opportunity to apply for early copies of my upcoming work (eARCs)

• Exclusive Q&A sessions or live “hangouts”
   

A NOTE ABOUT ARCS:

Many people express interest in The Guild solely for eARC (electronic Advanced Reader Copies) access of upcoming releases. This is fine. However, I want to stress that being in The Guild, doesn't guarantee you an eARC. NB: Paperback ARCs might be available in the future...

Every release, I set aside a certain quantity of eARCs exclusively for my Street Team. But, the demand exceeds my ability to supply. So I have a sign-up form and accept approximately 20-30% of applicants. So, whilst being in The Guild increases your chances of receiving an eARC, it doesn’t promise you one. (eARCs are available in mobi and epub formats).
